Kristina Cruises takes delivery of new flagship - with solutions from Telemar
Kristina Cruises, based in Kotka, has taken delivery of "Kristina Katarina". She replaces "Kristina Regina", a classic vessel originally built as a steamship already in 1960. Telemar Finland and Navidec have been entrusted to deliver the communications solutions also for "Kristina Katarina", including Telemar SeaCall broadband, two SeaTel TV antennas, FleetBroadband and GMDSS. We wish her smooth sailing!

Compagnia Generale Telemar, the partent company of the international Telemar Group, has announced the completion of an acqusition of Polaris Electronics Norge. Telemar and NSSL extend Ku-band coverage
Telemar Scandinavia and NSSL has extended the coverage of their joint Ku-band VSAT network, to serve their respective broadband services Telemar SeaCall™ and CruiseIP.
The system features a new hub in Cyprus, providing up to 2 MB download speeds across two new major maritime routes; the Indian Ocean and Australia/New Zealand.
The coverage expansion builds on previous additions made, now enabling Telemar to deliver Ku-band VSAT coverage along all the world´s important shipping routes.
