A truly portable and light-weight satellite terminal will give you all the advantages of a Mobile Office capacity, with broadband data, ISDN, voice and SMS.
Two types of Data Services
Standard IP service
Up to 492 kbit/second, charged by data volumes, not by time connected. Ideal for web access, file transfer and E-mail
Streaming IP
On demand service with a flexibility to choose 32, 64, 128 or 256 kbit/s guaranteed symmetrical bandwidth on a case-by-case basis, depending on application
ISDN
64 kbit/s service, identical to Inmarsat GAN service
Voice Services
- 4 kbit/s + compression
- SMS to and from cellular phones
- Voice-mail
Data and voice traffic can be exchanged simultaneously.
The BGAN terminal can be connected to any computer with Windows, Mac or Linux. BGAN works with all standard E-mail clients and with VPN products on the market.
Service roll-out
BGAN is now available in greater Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia.
Phase 2, with coverage of the Americas, is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2006.
Light-weight, portable terminals
The weight of a BGAN terminal is only between 1-1,5 kgs, measuring 200x150 mm or 300x200 mm depending on manufacture.
