Telemar and NSSL extend Ku-band coverage

Telemar Scandinavia and NSSL has announced a coverage extension of their joint Ku-band VSAT network, to serve their respective broadband services Telemar SeaCall™ and CruiseIP.

The system features a new hub in Cyprus, providing up to 4 MB download speeds across two new major maritime routes; the Indian Ocean and Australia/New Zealand.

The coverage expansion builds on previous additions made, now enabling Telemar to deliver Ku-band VSAT coverage along all the world´s important shipping routes.

Broadband at sea from USD 1.950 per month!

Telemar now introduces a new broadband package "Entry Level Europe", specifically designed for vessels trading in European waters.
The fixed monthly fee 1.950 USD includes Internet and IP-telephony access, rental of antenna and below-deck equipment and several other facilities. Our rates for phone calls to public networks are probably the lowest on the market.

Inmarsat is now launching their eagerly-awaited first global handheld. IsatPhone Pro.

IsatPhone Pro offers satellite telephony, with Bluetooth for handsfree use, voicemail, and text and email messaging. Location data is also available to the user to look up or send in a text message.
